Sporting Canada 2009-20010 CIS Track & Field Season
 The 2009-2010 season has started!
Coaches were sent e-mail notifications of their usernames and passwords on November 28th, 2009 to begin results entry.
CIS Equivalent Standard Achievers
Darren Mazzei (University of Victoria) has achieved the equivalent standard in the Men’s 800m with a time of 1:50.80 at the University of Washington Indoor Meet on January 29th, 2010. With the correction factor of 0.69 added the time is still below the equivalent standard. This has qualified Darren for the 1000m at the 2010 CIS Track & Field Championships
Julia Tschanz (University of Victoria) has achieved the equivalent standard in the Women’s Mile with a time of 4:47.55 at the University of Washington Indoor Meet on January 29th, 2010. With the correction factor of 0.43 added the time is still below the equivalent standard. This has qualified Julia for the 1500m at the 2010 CIS Track & Field Championships

Gaels Rewarded with Good Results at York Open
Feb 08, 2010: The proximity of the York meet allowed the team roster to substantially expand allowing a dedicated group of athletes who had been training regularly another opportunity to compete; for many their first meet since before Christmas.
Vikes Roll at Bison
Feb 06, 2010: Mallie, Jean, Robertson, Childs posts wins in Winnipeg. Dan Mallie won the 1000m in 2:26 to lead Victoria to four wins at Bison. Claire Jean (4:34) won the women's 1500m, rookie Karl Roberson (3:55) won the 1500m and Cliff Childs (8:34) won the 3000m.
SPEEDY GAELS PERFORM WELL AT McGILL TEAM CHALLENGE
Feb 01, 2010: The coaches were looking for good performances at the 15th Annual McGill Team Challenge which saw over 600 athletes from OUA, Quebec and the Atlantic Universities duke it out on the Tomilinson Fieldhouse track.

Cornell Southern Tier Open, Jan 8, 2010
Jan 17, 2010: The Gaels ventured south the Friday before classes began to test their fitness post exam/Christmas break. It was clear people had worked hard during exams and over the break as some excellent performances were turned in.
